ITQ for Mobile Learning – Information Day

Recently e-skills launched a revised version of the user ICT qualification, ITQ and it has a number of units with a focus on mobile technology. LSN have been working with City and Guilds on the new version of ITQ to produce a related qualification, ‘ITQ for Mobile Learning’ for which practitioners will be able to register and obtain upon successful competition, a certificate with that title. Your learners are also able to do the ITQ qualification and draw down LSC funding.

The new ITQ is now part of the Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF) and its assessment has changed radically from its predecessor NVQ format but has maintain its incredible flexibility. The LSN see this as an ideal opportunity for those who use mobile technology for teaching and learning and by so doing have gained considerable ICT skills in using mobile devices as a means to get credit for all your hard work. In doing the ITQ you would have ready made evidence towards your CPD requirement for IfL and eCPD.

The LSN have therefore organised an information and awareness day to take place on September 23rd in Birmingham which is then complemented by a pilot support programme which will include:

• Resource materials on the MoLeNET moodle
• A series of 12 on-line conferences to help and support you in achieving this qualification
• Access to a qualified ITQ assessor who has been actively engaged in the development of this new ITQ

The fee for attending the information/ awareness day is £145 + vat OR to join the pilot (which includes the awareness day) is £495 + VAT
