The UK Access Management Federation would like to invite people working within the education or research community to take part in an expert working group.
The group will look at defining best practice guidance for web-based portal services for discovery in federated access management for those involved in deployment solutions as part of their participation in the UK Access Management Federation for Education and Research.
Expressions of interest are invited from those who have experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Delivering web-based services to Schools, FE or HE sectors
- Representatives from organisations within the education sector, interested in implementing best practice interface design with respect to web applications
- Those using the UK federation for authentication and authorisation for access to web-based resources
This project aims to bring together an expert team that will investigate the technologies and definitions of user facing portals. The aims of the group will be:
- To indentify and establish a team of experts gathered from those working within, or supplying access management and/or portal services to, the education and research sectors
- To utilise the knowledge and expertise of this group to consider best practice in respect to federated access management, web-based portal services and the discovery challenge with a focus on user experience
- To provide guidelines and best practice documentation
