JISC RSC UK logoThe 9 English RSCs are pleased to announce that they have signed a pledge for BIS signaling their intent to play a role in bringing the vision for informal adult learning to life. The pledge is a commitment by organisations they will be important ambassadors and advocates for learning and a key driver for change and innovation on the ground.

Specificlly we will aim to,

  • support the core principles of informal learning  and encourage others to sign up
  • advocate wider participation, especially for  those who have benefited least from learning
  • find flexible ways of using our existing spaces,  or opening up new spaces, for learning
  • encourage and support learning organised by  people for themselves
  • embrace new ways of learning, including the use  of technology and broadcasting
  • find and work with new partners to increase  learning opportunities
  • celebrate our successes

It’s great that JISC is supporting the Learning Revolution! We have started an online community for those interested in this campaign to get everyone talking and working together.

You can find it at http://thelearningrevolution.ning.com/ and it would be awesome if you could circulate it around your networks too.

    Cheers

    Dave

Thanks for letting us know about the Learning Revolution online community. We’ll certainly make sure our networks are aware of it. It looks to be a great resource for those involved in the campaign!
