The Learning Innovation Grant (LIG) programme has received additional capital funding of £3m to support a further phase (LIG5) and the JISC RSC YH can help you to formulate your bid.
LIG has proved a very successful programme in supporting the WBL sector in making informed and effective use of technology and e-learning. The LIG5 Prospectus will be available towards the end of August 2009.
WBL providers should get in touch with Theresa Beattie, e-Learning Advisor (WBL), as soon as possible for support in putting bids together. Theresa has worked with many providers in the region who have had successful LIG funding grants in the past.
Theresa can be contacted by email t.beattie@rsc-yh.ac.uk or by phone 0113 343 1000.
Our growing number of case studies on the Excellence Gateway highlight some previously successful LIG projects in the region, including HairPod at Oracle Training Consultants and Putting the ‘E’ into the E2E process at Morthyng Ltd.
The LIG programme is managed by the Association of Learning Providers (ALP) and they provide a matching service that offers you the opportunity, where appropriate, to collaborate with other providers.
The LIG5 Prospectus will be announced via the ALP e-learning website: www.elearningproviders.org
