The JANET Videoconferencing Service (JVCS) has made a new feature available to organisations registered with the JVCS Booking Service. When you book or launch a videoconference through the JVCS Booking Service, you can now choose to record the conference by simply ticking a box. Once your session has finished and the recording has been processed, you will receive a notification email containing a link to your file for download.
Your organisation may wish to use recordings for:
• replaying of lessons/lectures for absent students
• online promotion
• future demonstrations
• meeting or interview reviews
• performance feedback
• continued professional development (CPD)
For more information please see http://www.ja.net/services/video/jvcs/jvcrs.html.
Since recording conferences may affect intellectual property and privacy rights, organisations must first sign a licence agreement before they are enabled to use the JANET Videoconferencing Recording Service (JVCRS).
