Introduction to the UK federation
29th June 2009
The aim of this course is to provide an overview of what’s required of organisations wishing to join the UK Access Management Federation. The course will include suggested ways of deploying federated access management and the likely challenges of doing so.

Implementing Shibboleth at your Organisation
30th June 2009
The UK federation provide a standardised way of exchanging authentication and authorisation requests in a consistent, secure and privacy preserving manner. This course will provide a number of hands-on labs for delegates to work through in small groups, centred around the installation and advanced configuration of a Shibboleth Identity Provider. This will then be tested against a reference Shibboleth Service Provider.

Implementing a Shibboleth 2 Service Provider
1st July 2009
This course will centre around the installation and configuration of a Shibboleth 2 Service Provider and will provide guidance and practical experience of integrating this with a web application’s access control mechanisms. This installation will then be tested against a reference Shibboleth 2 Identity Provider. The course includes some discussion of migration from an existing Shibboleth 1.3 installation.
