JISC RSC UK logoWould you like the opportunity of attending the JISC RSC East Midlands e-fair for free?

It takes place on Tuesday 23rd June at the Walkers Stadium in Leicester, and we have managed to get 10 FREE places for learning providers in our region.

The event will feature:

  • a series of workshops (on topics such as e-assessment, VLEs, online resources and eeePCs)
  • a try-it-for-yourself area (e.g. interactive whiteboards, digital images, NLN materials)
  • an Accessibility and Inclusion themed area (in association with JISC TechDis)
  • a general exhibition area

Chris Batt OBE will be delivering the keynote presentation “Learning was never what it used to be: what does that tell us about the future?”. Chris was formerly the Chief Executive of the Museums, Libraries and Archives Council and was awarded the Sunday Times Internet Guru of the Year in 2003.

All delegates will receive a Free AccessApps USB stick, which is a collection of portable and completely free software applications.

The Walkers Stadium has good transport connections via the M1 and the railway station in Leicester.

For more information and to book your place go to the RSC East Midlands website http://info.rsc-em.ac.uk/events/event_details.asp?eid=52 .

NB: You can ignore the references to the event being available to “only East Midlands learning providers” when booking as we have organised this special arrangement on your behalf.
