Regional Subject Coaching Network Events in June

LSIS logoThe Learning and Skills Improvement Network (LSIS) will host a series of full day Subject Coaching network events throughout Yorkshire & Humber from 3rd – 26th June 2009.

  •  Information Technology
  •  Land Based Studies
  •  Managers Network
  •  Maths
  •  Modern Foreign Languages
  •  Science
  •  Society Health and Development

Everyone from across the learning and skills sector is welcome. Whether you are from a work-based learning provider, college, prison, adult and community learning you can find relevant resources and valuable ideas about your CPD.

All provider events are for existing Subject Learning Coaches, Advanced Learning Coaches, colleagues considering becoming SLCs and anyone else interested in joining the programme. Participation in the subject coaching networks has been designed to the Institute for Learning’s (IfL’s) CPD requirements.

Subject Learning Coaches act as pioneers for change and development within their organisation often working within a quality improvement team and contributing:

 - to individual and group training

 - the ability to use coaching techniques to improve attitudes to change among peers

 - subject strategies, resources, tools and best practice.
