The JISC website is now sporting a brand new look, complete with an easy-to-use, topic-based navigation system that will help you find the information you want more quickly and easily.
The redesign has been informed by an Audience Experts Panel of Librarians and e-Learning practitioners, who took part in focus groups last year. JISC also collated information via online surveys and some people took part in prototype testing the new customised homepage feature.
Several new elements have been introduced to the website, including:
- Topic-based navigation system – JISC’s activities have been organised by topic so you can see all the JISC activity in different areas. There are also links to news stories, funding opportunities and any publications concerning it
- Improved search - Search not only the JISC site but across JISC Services independent sites with one simple click
- Customisable - Tweak your homepage so it becomes 100% relevant to you
- Simpler layout - Overhauled landing pages to make finding content easier
- Publications section - New filtering options so you can find that all-important document
- RSS feeds - Increased use of RSS feeds, for example by topic or ‘Recently Updated’ activity
JISC values your feedback, with a dedicated page for you to say what you think and to report any issues or bugs. You can also tag your blog posts and tweets with #jiscweb to help collate and react to your web comments rapidly.
