JISC RSC UK logoThe JISC Regional Support Centre Scotland (North and East) team, developers of the popular Access Apps USB stick containing over 50 free assistive technology applications, has added more open source and freeware solutions specifically for teachers and learners.

EduApps extends the AccessApps philosophy of free portable software in your pocket to include bundles of applications specifically designed for teachers (TeachApps) and learners (LearnApps). This means over 90 open source and freeware software applications which can be entirely used from a USB stick on a Windows computer.

With more emphasis on teaching and learning applications, Teach Apps for example includes a copy of the virtual learning environment Moodle.

The EduApps suites are available to download now from RSC Scotland’s website.

For more information about EduApps, including downloads, visit the web page here. The page is still in Beta mode whilst the team create additional support features and would welcome feedback.
