The HEFCE Annual Conference is being held at Royal Holloway, University of London, on 1-2 April 2009. In addition to providing a forum for heads of universities and colleges, and key partners, to meet and discuss major developments in higher education, it will introduce the new HEFCE Chief Executive, Sir Alan Langlands. The final address is to be given by the Secretary of State.
Major themes:
- Public confidence in the quality of higher education: how should HE address concerns?
- What changes do universities and colleges need to make to withstand a global recession?
- What do universities and colleges need to do to maintain their autonomy?
