Awarding Sustainability Excellence

  • Is your institution a leader in sustainability?
  • Are you making positive changes through exciting initiatives?

Then get yourself recognised in the leading sustainability awards scheme for universities and colleges across the UK.

The 2009 Green Gown Awards are now open!

Now in their fifth year, the Awards recognise the exceptional initiatives being undertaken by universities and colleges across the UK to become more sustainable. With sustainability moving up the global agenda, the Awards have become established as a prestigious recognition of the achievements within the further and higher education sector, as well as the environmental sector.

How to apply?

Just visit the Green Gown Awards website at www.eauc.org.uk and download an application form.

Be creative and make sure you return the applications by Friday 27 February 2009 to Sue Boyd at greengown@eauc.org.uk

Short listed applications and details on stage two will be announced in the Spring and winners will be announced at a fabulous gala banquet on Tuesday 23 June 2009 at Imperial College London.

UK Minister for Higher Education and Intellectual Property, David Lammy MP will be amongst the guests presenting the awards. This is an exciting opportunity for you to network with the Who’s Who in university and college sustainability, linking government ministers, vice chancellors and principals, funding council executives, sector suppliers, staff and students at the cutting edge of sector sustainability. Don’t miss out – be there!
