MoLeNet M-Teaching and Learning Event

Wednesday 28th January 2009 – LONDON            
Wednesday 11th February 2009 – LIVERPOOL

Aim

To extend the pedagogical understanding of all participants on how to provide good learning opportunities using mobile devices – the tools, techniques and underpinning practice.

The event is designed to be an engaging and fun session reflecting on the reason why we are thinking of learning in terms of ‘m’.

Objectives

By the end of the session the par ticipants will have: 

  •  Discussed how and why they create resources
  •  Explored the activities linked to Bloom and considered ways to extend learners within the taxonomy
  •  Created resources with particular learners in mind
  •  Identified at least 1 resource and/or activity that they will change in order to make it more accessible for users

Outcomes

By the end of the event the participants will be able to:

 ut into practice techniques and methods to ensure resources and activities using mobile devices are designed with a learner-focus in mind.

Target audience

Practitioners – tutors, teachers, support staff M-Champions, content creators

Requirements for engagement

This session will incorporate reflection of practice and a chance to carry out hands-on activities with guidance.  In order to be able to fully participate it is suggested that participants bring mobile device/s with resources or activities in mind that will be used with learners.
