Eduserv renewed the Chest Agreement for Emerald Management Xtra on 01 January 2009 with significant price reductions for FE Colleges over the 2008 rates.
Emerald Management Xtra (EMX) provides a comprehensive range of management information. The full collection offers a growing set of 85,000 full text articles from over 200 journals covering all the management disciplines such as marketing, managing people, economics and social policy, strategy and financial management. Institutions can choose smaller collections to suit their requirements and budgets. Annual site licences now start at just 999 plus VAT for a collection of 95 journals, saving over 13,000 compared to an HE Institution for the same collection. Savings are even higher on the larger journal collections.
In addition to journals EMX offers other useful features including the Learning Zone. This has been designed specifically for students of business and management and pulls together a large number of study and management skills, as well as podcasts on various management topics and a collection of over 700 literature reviews to kick-start students’ understanding of a topic.
In the Teaching Zone there are resources to help teachers on topics ranging from teaching styles to giving effective presentations. There are collections of over 500 interviews with business gurus and 1,100 case studies drawn from Emerald Journals.
Emerald Engineering Collection
Colleges subscribing to any EMX package will automatically get access to the Emerald Engineering Collection free of charge. The engineering collection consists of 16 internationally recognised engineering journals and provides over 7000 full text articles, covering four major areas of engineering: automation, computational mathematics, electronics manufacture and packaging and materials science and engineering.
