Starting on 14th January, JISC TechDis will begin a 6-month programme of online self evaluations allowing managers to explore the ways that accessibility and inclusion can be integrated into teaching and learning, and organisational effectiveness.

The self evaluation tool has developed from a series of discussions and pilots with the JISC Regional Support Centres.

The online sessions focus on six role areas within HE and FE, yet are available to a wide range of teaching organizations and learning providers.

The role areas are:

• Senior manager

• Network manager

• Marketing manager

• Staff developer/learning technologies

• Library manager

• Additional learning support manager/head of disability support

The process is a quick way of measuring the extent to which good practice reasonable adjustments have permeated an organisation. As the evaluation is role focused, it can provide practical suggestions to those with the responsibility and authority to take action.

There are 25 places available per session, however each role area will be covered twice between January and June.

For more information about the self evaluations, including details on booking a place, visit the JISC TechDis website: http://www.techdis.ac.uk/index.php?p=2_2_9
