AccessApps has won the 2008 Scottish Open Source Award (SOSA) for Education Excellence!
AccessApps is an initiative developed by the Scottish JISC Regional Support Centres in cooperation with JISC TechDis. It consists of over 50 open source and freeware assistive technology applications which can be entirely used from a USB stick on a Windows computer, without needing to install anything. Access Apps provide a range of e-learning solutions to support writing, reading and planning as well as visual and mobility difficulties.
Access Apps can be downloaded from the RSC Scotland N&E website as either the full version (2Gb USB needed), the ‘lite’ version (128Mb USB needed) … or you can ‘pick and mix’ from the applications on offer.
