Congratulations to the prize winners who attended our recent “Exploring e-Portfolios” event!
Last week, delegates gathered in York to witness “The Big Debate” where several propositions surrounding e-portfolios were put forward – from using free, open source solutions to tailormade organisational solutions – and the audience voted on their thoughts. Interestingly, opinion changed throughout the day once delegates had the chance to speak to the marketplace of e-portfolio providers and attended the day’s workshops.
Prizewinners on the day were Dorothy Pierrepont from Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council, who won a Sanyo Xacti video camera, courtesy of Learning Assistant. Dorothy successfully answered questions on the Learning Assistant lunchtime demonstration and had her name randomly pulled out of the bag.
Stephen Warburton of BEST won a lightweight 10 inch EeePC, courtesy of OneFile. Stephen entered the random prize draw of those that had visited each exhibition stand and completed their “Exhibition Passport”.
Crinela Pislaru of the University of Huddersfield won the JISC RSC YH prize of an iPod Shuffle for providing details of how she would like future support from the JISC Regional Support Centre for Yorkshire & Humber.
The event received positive feedback from delegates.
