E-Portfolios are something most people involved in learning have an opinion about. Some are very much in favour, some against and some don’t think it fits with their style of teaching and learning.
To this end, the JISC Regional Support Centre for Yorkshire & Humber is organising a FREE “Exploring E-Portfolios Day” on Friday 12th December in York and hopes to have representatives from all the sectors there to look at whether the e-portfolio has a place in their teaching & learning and, if so, what form it could or should take.
There will be plenty of time for discussion, as well as a chance to explore the various commercial and free e-portfolios available to your institution. We’re also working to get a learner perspective on the subject, so it promises to be a very informative day, whether you’ve previously considered e-portfolios or not.
To this end, we’d like to know a bit about what you already use, or don’t use. We’ve set up a survey, which should take less than five minutes to complete, and will help us to examine the focus of the day. Whether you plan to attend our event or not, it would be really useful if you could complete this survey, so we have representative results. Please feel free to forward it to any other providers as well.
The survey can be found here (full link posted below) and, unless you choose to enter your contact details, will remain anonymous.
