Providers of the Future Showcase Event

Following the success of Learning Innovation Grant (LIG) Phase 1, 2 & 3 funding, which has supported the uptake of technology and use of e‐learning by a wide range of Providers within the WBL/Skills sector, ALP is hosting a half day Providers of the Future Showcase Event in Sutton Coldfield for WBL Providers. The event will contain presentations/input from Providers delivering in a range of occupational sectors including Construction, Health & Social Care and Sports & Fitness.
Event Aim
The aim of the Providers of the Future Showcase Event will be to disseminate innovative ideas and applications which have supported the embedding of e‐learning and technology within the Work based learning and Skills sector.
The first part of the morning will see LIG exemplar providers’ highlighting their own innovative approach that has directly influenced the learning experience of learners within their occupational area.
This will be followed by provider ‘speed dating’ sessions which will give delegates the chance to discuss any aspect of e‐learning delivery with providers with the expertise on a range of topics such as open source software, VLE’s and e‐portfolios. This will be done in an informal and tailored style rather than formal presentations.
Who Should Attend?
This event is relevant to all WBL providers who wish to embrace elearning, whether you are a late adopter or on your way to e‐maturity and are looking for fresh ideas. This event will enable you to find out what impact the investment in elearning can have on recruitment, retention and achievement rates.
