Eduserv is hosting an event to mark the launch of a new online resource, the Copyright Toolkit.

The Copyright Toolkit (http://copyrighttoolkit.com) is an online resource aimed at helping people deal with copyright issues when using third-party multimedia in learning environments.

Aimed at lecturers, librarians, sound and vision technicians and those who negotiate for the use of third party copyright resources, it features background information about copyright law and a set of interactive exercises to help you understand the key points. It is particularly useful to those who have to publish multimedia resources on the web and in Virtual Learning Environments.

So if you produce guidelines or are asked to advise on IPR issues around things like music used in podcasts and images on websites in a VLE, the toolkit should be an invaluable resource.

The Copyright Toolkit is a project by Copy-Right Consultants (http://www.copy-rightconsultants.co.uk/about.htm) and funded by Eduserv.
