Becta are having two workshops to help develop new advice and guidance on ‘acceptable use policies’ (AUPs) in September.

They produced the publication ‘Safeguarding Children in a Digital World: Toolkit for developing an LSCB e-safety strategy’ [http://publications.becta.org.uk/display.cfm?resID=35446] at a similar workshop last year.

Invitations are open to those who work at authority level and have expertise in devising AUPs for schools, or colleges, or other children’s services e.g. libraries, looked after children.

Further information will be sent in due course but at this stage they are only looking for level of interest in order to make the necessary arrangements.

Provisional dates are Midlands 29 September and London 30th September.

If you would like to express interest in taking part please respond to Jenny.Wade@becta.org.uk with:

· your title and contact phone number
· level of experience in developing AUPs
· preferred venue (Midlands 29th/London 30th)
