The West Yorkshire Lifelong Learning Network is currently organising the first annual West Yorkshire Adult Work-Based Learner Awards to be announced during national Adult Learners’ Week on 20th May and to be presented at their Celebration Event on 12th June.

These awards will recognise the achievements of employees throughout West Yorkshire who have succeeded in progressing onto a higher education course while continuing to work. Anyone can nominate an individual to receive an award including employers, course providers or tutors, family members or the individual themselves. There will be 7 awards – 1 per industry sector judged by a panel and announced during Adult Learners’ Week 17-23 May 2008.

If you would like to nominate any students at your institution for an award please contact Rachael Brough at R.J.Brough@hud.ac.uk

Completed nomination forms should be returned by Friday 9th May 2008.
