Have you ever wanted to find out about new technologies and software for teaching and learning but have never had the time or chance? Then our Excellence in e-Learning event is just for you!
“Teaching and Learning in the Virtual World” will provide you with all the help and support you need in finding how Second Life can have a large impact on your students. Case studies from around the region will demonstrate what can be done with Second Life:
- Graham Hibbert, Senior Lecturer at Leeds Metropolitan University will talk about “Building a Virtual Faculty”
- Annabeth Robinson, Senior Lecturer at Leeds College of Art and Design will explore “Integrating Second Life with PLEs”
- Dr Toni Sant, Senior Lecturer at the University of Hull, will outline “A Second Life for Online Performance History”
Help will then be to hand with live demonstrations and a hands-on session so you can explore the possibilities yourself. There will also be focus on using Second Life with an interactive Whiteboard.
