JISC RSC YH logoThe winners of the JISC RSC YH e-Learning Conference 2008 survey prizes have been announced!

Congratulations to Nina Parkin (Rotherham College of Arts & Technology), James Bagley (Longley Park Sixth Form College) and Ros Moors, (Greenhead College)! An iPod Nano is winging its way to each.

Nina, James and Ros were picked at random from those that filled in our online survey asking for your thoughts on the themes for our e-Learning Conference for 2008. The resulting answers in the survey went a long way to shape the structure and outline of the conference and we’re happy to announce the date and title of the conference:

Learning Excellence: Making It Happen
Tuesday 10th June 2008
Bradford

A date for your diary!

Potential contributions to the JISC RSC YH e-Learning Conference 2008 programme are now being sought from the Post-16 sector (FE, Specialist Colleges, 6th Form Colleges, ACL, WBL and HE).

We are looking for pre-conference resources, activities and virtual presentations, as well as live talks for on the day, that involve delegates in approaches that have made an impact on learners’ engagement, retention and achievement. This could include learning and teaching as well as system changes. We are also interested in cutting edge activities with approaches that show a real potential for impact on learning. We want real solutions that support delegates in exploring the way forward for their organisation. In accepting proposals for this conference, we are looking for examples of the use of technology within the conference themes:

* Learning spaces
* Making a difference to our learners
* Communicating with learners
* Learning for employability
* Technical Infrastructure
* Moving staff forward

Proposals could be in the form of podcasts, videos, pre-conference online activities and presentations, live talks, and posters.

Further details about the event and how to contribute are available on our Conference website:

Please note the deadline for expressing an interest in contributing of 25th March 2008.
