The Joint Information Systems Committee (JISC) invites institutions (see below for eligibility) to submit proposals for a number of small-scale pilots to support institutions in their response to staff and student expectations of flexible, convenient and time-saving access to institutional systems through “Web 2.0″ technologies and mobile devices.

Total funding of up to £300,000 is available to fund four small scale pilot projects (at £50,000 per project) and a separate project which will support the pilots, synthesise the lessons learned and produce institutional case studies (£50,000 for the project plus £50,000 for the case studies).

The deadline for receipt of proposals is not later than 12.00 noon on 26 March 2008.

Further information including the full Circular can be found here: http://www.jisc.ac.uk/fundingopportunities/funding_calls/2008/02/circular0108

Eligibility
Proposals may be submitted by HE institutions funded by the UK funding bodies, FE institutions in Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland and FE institutions in England which teach HE to more than 400 FTEs. Partnership arrangements may be developed outside the sector but the lead institution must be part of the HE or FE community as described.
