The Ideas Incubator will be open from 21 January to 29 February 2008 for new ideas.

Futurelab is seeking exciting ideas about new ways of learning with technology. The aim is to develop your idea further so that it can be showcased, perhaps modelled in a way that lets people try it out, or that possibly helps prepare it for a larger stage of development. Ideas are welcome from absolutely anyone in the UK and Futurelab has lots to offer, including a team of experts and funding to help develop your idea.

If you are successful, Futurelab will invest both funding and the time and effort of the Futurelab team into your project to help develop it further, plus they will bring in other external experts or broker partnerships where needed. Work is carried out in partnership with you, the originator of the idea, and also with learners, the end users.

Who can apply?
Whatever your background, whether you are applying as an individual, as a school or university, or as a company, all idea submissions from anyone within the UK are welcomed. Futurelab work with a diverse range of people and can provide you with skills and support to fill any gaps in skills and knowledge to take your idea forward.

    Hi

I’m currently in the 1st year of an MSc in Multimedia & Elearning at Huddersfield Uni. When I complete this I intend to do a PHd. I work at Leeds Thomas Danby (ICT – 14 years) and am very interested in encouraging disadvantaged / non-traditional learners using online resources. I’ll keep checking your site / blogs etc for inspiration. When I finish the current module I’ll post / send you a Flash thingie that you may find interesting (interactive normalisation exercises – May ‘08). It’s more interesting than it sounds!

    See you later

    Jim
