Support available for joining the UK Access Management Federation

The JISC Institutional Access Management Support Project (JIAMSP) invites applications from smaller UK FE / HE institutions for support to obtain assistance to enable joining the UK Access Management Federation by becoming an Identity Provider (IdP).

Informal Adult Learning: Shaping the way ahead - Consultation

LSC to offer upgrade of JANET connections for all FE Colleges in England

The Learning and Skills Council will be funding the capital costs of upgraded JANET connections for all FE Colleges in England. This offer will result in bandwidths up to 100Mbit/s and will result in much faster and more efficient connections. The Colleges will also make a contribution to the ongoing recurrent costs of this upgrade.

Survey says teachers believe plagiarism to be serious problem

More than half of teachers believe internet plagiarism to be a serious problem.
A survey by the Association of Teachers and Lecturers (ATL) found that 58% of teachers felt that a quarter of work returned included material copied from the internet.
